His Promises are True

There are thousands of promises in the Bible. These all tell of a loving God who wants the best for his people.

One of the most wonderful and hope-producing facet of the Bible is the number of promises made by God. He loved us so much that He took the time to reassure, comfort and give us hope.

There are so many promises in the Bible that no one can give the exact number. The guestimate ranges from 3000 to 7000 promises. You know what that tells us?

God loves us. He really does.

You know what the other awesome thing is? God keeps His promises (Joshua 21:45 NLT).

God Keeps His Promises

Jehovah has made a number of promises to His people and He's kept His word.

Even Joshua had to comment on it: "Not a single one of all the good promises the LORD had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true (Joshua 21:45 NLT)."

God is not like us. He has no reason to tell a lie. If He says He's going to do something, He will. He doesn't change his mind. And that's why we know that when He makes a promise, He keeps it (Numbers 23:10 GW).

Because of this confidence that we have in Him, we can find hope in His word.

This month we'll explore a few of the promises that God has made to His people.
